Marc Redlich
Marc’s love of music started in his youth. He played clarinet in his Junior High band and also bassoon in his High School band. Later he formed his first popular music trio during high school and took that band to Catskill Mountains resorts (better known as the “Borscht Belt”), where he played tenor sax and sang with his own band and later with the Ned Harvey Orchestra, which is where he got his taste of big band music. He joined NYC’s Local 802 of the Musician’s Union beginning in high school. After attending Queens College and majoring in philosophy, he attended Harvard Law School. Marc practiced law for over 50 years both in larger firms in Boston, where he became a senior partner, and in his own firm. Marc’s love of the law continues and he still maintain his Massachusetts law practice. He returned more seriously to music about eight years ago playing in a classical trio, quartet and solo recitals, and then later with local bands here in Arizona. It is a pleasure to have Marc perform with Big Band Grandstand, alongside so many other talented musicians.
