Bill Schmidt

Bill is just a guy who played a little sax in school and who brought it back a few years ago. He moved to Arizona from Chicago in 2017, living first in Prescott where he joined a band at Yavapai College. Then three years ago, Bill moved to Phoenix and joined BBG. Bill love’s  the American Songbook, and now gets to play its songs with a group of great musicians. To improve, he plays in several other bands, keeping busy from fall through spring. For Bill, the most fun is playing with others, and that’s what he enjoys about playing with the BBG. He in awe of our pros, our former pros and our strong soloists, but gets his kicks playing the harmony, adding richness to this great music.
